This riff on the gin rickey gets a dash of dry vermouth for extra complexity and raspberry syrup in place of the regular simple syrup.

Ingredients

1 jigger (1 1/2 ounces) gin
1 tablespoon dry vermouth
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 to 1/3 cup chilled seltzer
1 tablespoon raspberry syrup
Garnish: slice of lime

Preparation

  1. In a tall glass filled with ice, combine gin, vermouth and lime juice. Fill glass with seltzer. Add raspberry syrup and stir. Garnish with slice of lime.
