Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar
2 ounces club soda
3 or 4 ice cubes
2 to 3 ounces Scotch whiskey or gin Club soda or ginger ale
Peel of 1 lemon

Preparation

  1. Put sugar and club soda in a 12-ounce collins glass and stir to dissolve the sugar. Add the ice, Scotch or gin, and stir. Fill up with soda or ginger ale. Garnish with lemon peel.
