Auntie’s Peanut Sauce

This is excellent on char-grilled chicken or pork. Swab or brush the sauce on the meat for the last 15 minutes of grilling time. Turn often, continuing to baste, to prevent burning.

Ingredients

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 large cloves garlic, crushed
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
Juice of 2 lemons
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  1. Heat the butter in a skillet. Add the garlic and sauté, being careful not to burn the garlic. Add the Worcestershire sauce, peanut butter, lemon juice, and pepper, and blend well. Simmer for 10 minutes.
